Scouts are do-ers and give-it-a-go-ers. Yes, we go camping, hiking, swimming, abseiling, cycling and canoeing. But we also get to hang out with our friends every week – having fun, playing games, working in a team and taking on new challenges.
At Hartshill Scout Group, we prepare young people with skills for life. You can learn survival skills, first aid, cooking and even expedition skills; it’s a great way to have fun, make friends, get outdoors, express your creativity and experience the wider world. There’s something for every young person, whatever their physical ability.
We believe in bringing people together. We celebrate diversity and stand against intolerance, always. We’re part of a worldwide movement, creating stronger communities and inspiring positive futures.
It doesn’t matter whether it’s you or your child who wants to join us, or even if your child is of joining age yet or not, because you can sign up now and ensure they are allocated a place when it becomes available.
Are pivotal to the success of our Group, we have a long tradition of leaders and they are all highly skilled using the Association’s training scheme. But we always need help. Check out our opportunities to see how you can join us.
Adventure is at the heart of everything we do. It is the single most important thing that sets Scouts apart. Through the everyday adventure of Scouting, young people and adult volunteers regularly experience new challenges that enrich their lives.
Enjoy exciting, challenging, and stimulating activities weekly. This has a positive impact on their lives. Every young person in Scouting enjoys a balanced range of activities, events and experiences, based around subject areas we call Programme Zones. These cover a huge range of activities, from outdoor and physical pursuits to community involvement, creative expression and learning about the wider world.
We have places available for boys & girls to join so please contact one of our leadership team to come along and see if it is your thing.
